Epic Games has begun the launch process for Fab, a new unified marketplace for Unreal Engine, with the official launch of Fab.com set for mid-October. Fab.com will merge the Unreal Engine Marketplace, Sketchfab Store, Quixel, and ArtStation Marketplace into a single platform that supports multiple game engines, including Unreal Engine and Unity, as well as various digital content creation tools. Epic Games has introduced an 88/12 revenue share policy and a 100% revenue share on sales of Fab Standard-licensed products until the end of 2024. Additionally, a launch promotion with Adobe offers a free 6-month subscription for Adobe Substance Painter and Modeler to users who publish a Fab-licensed product or make a minimum purchase of $25. The Unreal Engine Marketplace will be discontinued once Fab launches. This initiative aims to streamline the digital content creation process and establish Fab as a primary marketplace for digital content creators.
